Clients always ask me if they can include their older children in their Studio Newborn Session photos and that answer is always an enthusiastic YES! Hi, I’m Emilie and I’m your Portland Newborn and Family Photographer. I specialize in newborn photos that feel natural, intimate, and clean, perfect for the nostalgic mother!
Should you include siblings in your Newborn Studio Session?
The first photos of my kids together are some of my most prized, sentimental photos. You simply cannot explain the warm fuzzies that overwhelm your heart seeing your babies together, especially in those early days. I am honored to photograph such special moments for my clients. Older siblings have such a big impact on their younger baby, and vice versa. I’d never want to leave the bigger kids out of such a profound milestone.
Big brother could not stop loving on his new baby and it was the most adorable thing ever (scroll about halfway down for the cutest nose rub…que the mama tears)!
I cannot get enough of their photos and hope you enjoy them, too!
If you liked this session, you may want to look at another in-studio newborn session with an older sibling here! And if you, or any friends are looking for that clean, simple, natural, beautiful aesthetic that I’m known for and am obsessed with, be sure to head over to my inquiry page to book your very own Portland Newborn Studio Session!
A little bit about outfits…
Both the mom’s dress and baby’s sweater romper are available in my exclusive and carefully curated client closet. I love finding pieces that are flattering, work for maternity and postpartum, and have interesting textures while still being neutrals and non-distracting in the overall image. However, if you want something unique for just your baby, some of my favorite shops for newborn outfits are Olive and Cradle, Lou Lou, and (surprisingly!) Wal-Mart.
Thank you, Sonia and Andrew, for trusting me with your newborn photos! I loved working with you and hope you cherish the images forever! <3
