Hi friends! I wanted to share this sweet newborn/family session with you today for a few reasons, with the first obviously being because it’s beautiful and I just love how it turned out!
I also thought it would be a great example to share with you what a session of mine looks like with an older sibling, and with an “older” newborn!
The majority of my newborn sessions take place between 6-10 days of life. Brand new babies are usually still very sleepy and with a little milk and finesse, will curl up and zonk out for their entire session. But, there are many reasons why getting to my studio during their first week isn’t always plausible, whether for baby’s immune system, mama’s recovery, schedule, or your preference!
This sweet boy joined the world right before the holidays, and–having a December baby myself–the struggle is real! He was about 2 months old at his session, and I’m so in love! We got plenty of baby & mama snuggles, and we got to see his handsome eyes! Bottom line: yes, I’ll aim to schedule photos right away, but I genuinely believe there is never a BAD time to have pro photos, so let’s do what works for YOUR family! I’m here for it!
