Step One: Inquire
Let's chat! We'll hop on a phone call so that you know what to expect from start to finish. I want to get to know you, you to me, and you'll get every detail of my process and pricing. In home photography is very personal and it's important that we're on the same page from the get-go!
Here's How It Works:
Step Two: Booking and Planning
Once you've decided to move forward with booking, you'll receive my detailed and thought-provoking questionnaire. Using that as a starting point, we'll plan a session that makes sense for your unique family on a Planning phone call.
Here's How It Works:
Step Three: Session
The fun part! We've planned and prepared so that the day of your session is a breeze! You know what to expect and you can sit back and enjoy making memories with your family and know that I have the rest handled!
Here's How It Works:
Step Four: Gallery Delivery & Art Selection
You'll receive your photos 3-4 weeks after our session. If you've opted to only purchase digital files, that is it (until next time)! If you are looking to purchase an album or other artwork, we'll have another call to review photos and finalize ordering your custom heirloom art!
Here's How It Works:
Motherhood is nothing like I expected, and everything I needed. How can you anticipate what something will be like that is unlike anything else you've ever experienced in your life? It broke me down and built me back, better. You, too?
Motherhood is wild like that. Everyone's experiences are so vastly unique, yet somehow all so much the same. I've yet to meet any mama who would say that motherhood and caring for a newborn didn't change her from the inside out.
And that is why Newborn Photography is so near and dear to my heart. I hardly remember that young mama 10 years ago who was caring for a newborn for the first time. The days were a blur. I didn't know what I didn't know, and I certainly didn't know all that I was capable of, either. And oh, how I wish I could go give her a hug.
Let's make sure to document this special season of life. Not just for you now, but for the future you. For you in 30 years who wants to look back to remember, and to see.
As a mom of *soon to be three*, ages 9 and under, I promise that I feel every word I preach about fleeting time and preserving everyday moments. Motherhood has taught me all about the ups and downs of life.
I like beautiful things and have body insecurities and want to look amazing postpartum, too. But what I want most, is to see my family as we really were. I don't want to look back at my babies' newborn photos and wonder why I was wearing a ball gown in the kitchen. Or see any forced smiles and remember the meltdowns to get us there. I want to see the connection, the playfulness, the joy, and the authenticity of family life.
I want to see your REAL family during our time together, and so I take a very relaxed approach to my photo sessions. I give enough guidance to help you feel comfortable and connected, and leave enough space to let your family be themselves while the chaos and connection unfolds!
I create my best art for families when parents and kids are both relaxed and enjoying the time playing and making memories together! No watching and demanding "cheese", please!

Q: What if my toddler doesn't cooperate for photos?
Q: What if my house doesn't get great natural light?
Q: What time of day will our session be?
Q: How far in advance do I need to schedule our session?
Q: How do I get my home ready for photos?
A: Toddlers do so much better in home sessions! I provide plenty of prep to help your toddler shows us their personality!
A: We'll plan ahead to figure out what rooms of your home do get the best light, and because we live in cloudy Portland, I'll supplement with artificial light as needed.
A: You'll know going into the session what room we'll be using. Clear the clutter but you can leave evidence of real life, too!
A: Most sessions take place Tuesdays or Thursday mornings around 10am. I only shoot 1-2 Saturday mornings per month, which book out very far in advance!
A: You can never book a session too early, but you can be too late. We need at least 4 weeks to plan your session once you decide to move forward with booking and scheduling.
