My biggest photo pet peeve? Photos that don't make sense. Clothes you'd never actually wear. Types of locations you never spend time at. Activities you don't do in real life. A meticulously posed woman standing in a river wearing a ball gown...
We've all seen theses images on socials. We've have had them done before. Heck, I've taken photos like these! And while they may be beautiful images, there's just something missing. An element that didn't connect. Images that feel un-relatable, because they are unreal at their foundation.
Me? I'm not about that. I love pretty things, that's not the problem. I just need more.
You need more, too. You need real. And I'm here to make that happen with you.
We're a good fit if you don't sweat the small stuff. You can go with the flow of your family.
We're a good fit if you aren't into perfection, forced smiles, or a perfectly curated facade.
We're a good fit if you long for photos that truly capture your family how and where they are.
Step One: Inquire
Let's chat! We'll hop on a quick phone call so that you know what to expect from start to finish. In home photography is very personal and it's important that we're on the same page from the get-go!
Here's How It Works:
Step Two: Booking and Planning
Once you've decided to move forward with booking, you'll receive my detailed and thought-provoking questionnaire. Using that as a starting point, we'll plan a session that makes sense for your unique family on a Planning phone call.
Here's How It Works:
Step Three: Session
The fun part! We've planned and prepared so that the day of your session is a breeze! You know what to expect and you can sit back and enjoy making memories with your family and know that I have the rest handled!
Here's How It Works:
Step Four: Gallery Delivery & Art Selection
You'll receive your photos 3-4 weeks after our session. If you've opted to only purchase digital files, that is it (until next time)! If you are looking to purchase an album or other artwork, we'll have another call to review photos and finalize ordering your custom heirloom art!
Here's How It Works:
Q: What if my toddler doesn't cooperate for photos?
Q: What if my house doesn't get great natural light?
Q: What time of day will our session be?
Q: How far in advance do I need to schedule our session?
Q: How do I get my home ready for photos?
A: Toddlers do so much better in home sessions! I provide plenty of prep to help your toddler shows us their personality!
A: We'll plan ahead to figure out what rooms of your home do get the best light, and because we live in cloudy Portland, I'll supplement with artificial light as needed.
A: You'll know going into the session what room we'll be using. Clear the clutter but you can leave evidence of real life, too!
A: Most sessions take place Tuesdays or Thursday mornings around 10am. I only shoot 1-2 Saturday mornings per month, which book out very far in advance!
A: You can never book a session too early, but you can be too late. We need at least 4 weeks to plan your session once you decide to move forward with booking and scheduling.
Think we'll be a good fit?
